The Rebecca Sweet Scholarship Program
The Rebecca Sweet Scholarship is awarded to qualifying graduating high school seniors in the Sanford and greater Seminole County area. The application process runs from January through the end of March, and each package will be reviewed in full. Once a decision has been made, recipients will be notified in advanced.
Scholarship Qualifications
• Completed application (must be typed).
• Proof of overall grade point average minimum of 3.0 on 4.0 scale (An official sealed transcript).
• Proof if achievement of extra-curricular activities.
• Letter of recommendation from a faculty member, principal, or counselor.
• Essay (No more than 500 words) on provided theme.
• Proof of acceptance at a college, university, or technical school.
• Must be a graduating high school senior from a Seminole County Florida high school.
• Must be of African Descent, financial need will be considered.
• Must meet the application deadline.
